Please read these conditions carefully before using the Katie Bakes’ website. By using this website, You signify Your agreement to be bound by these conditions.
Definitions – Customers or visitors to this website are referred to as “You” or “Your”. Katie Bakes are referred to as “Us” or “We”.
1. Security & Order Confirmation
Orders will be accepted by email, via the website and over the telephone.
If You pay by credit or debit card over the website, Your details are handled by Paypal on a secure server. While it is impossible for any website to be completely impregnable to fraud, Paypal offers a good level of security that You can be confident with.
In the case of email or telephone orders, We will send You an invoice via email and payment can be by credit or debit card over the phone or by bank transfer. No record of Your card details will be stored or retained after your payment has been processed.
When You place an order to purchase a product We will send You an e-mail confirming receipt of Your order and containing the details of Your order. Your order represents an offer to Us to purchase a product which is accepted by Us when We process payment for your order.
When We accept Your order and Your order has been dispatched, We will send a dispatch confirmation E-mail.
As an online customer, You may receive an email from Customer Reviews with an invitation to review your order. Customers must accept terms and conditions before placing an order.
If You have incorrectly entered Your email address Your order confirmation and dispatch email may fail. So long as payment has been processed successfully this will in no way affect Your order. Failure by Us to send a receipt confirmation email or dispatch email in no way invalidates Your offer or Our acceptance of your offer.
2. Post & Packaging
Post & packing prices are based on orders to UK mainland addresses only. We send variously by Royal Mail and courier. Delivery will be to the address specified at the time of ordering. If You require Us to dispatch to a different address you must specify this when placing your order by unchecking the box on the Checkout page of the website, or alternatively send us an email at the time of ordering specifying the delivery address. The shipping address will be confirmed in a confirmation email.
Express delivery to non mainland UK addresses, may cost more and may also take slightly longer. If You require your order urgently please check with Us at the time of ordering as to whether your timescale can be met.
If You have special delivery directions or the telephone number of the recipient these may be helpful to the postman or delivery driver and therefore please ensure You leave details in the comments section.
FULL VALID POST CODES are required for every order. We will not send any orders without one. If You provide an incorrect address, including the postcode, We do not accept any responsibility for a failure of an order to arrive or any costs involved in redirecting that order.
Our courier, will not deliver to PO BOX addresses.
We strive to dispatch within 2 working days of receipt of an order although this is not always possible. Jar orders may take up to 5 days to be dispatched and up to 10 days notice may be required for Personalised Party Bags. Because delivery is handled by outside contractors we cannot guarantee delivery although we use Our reasonable endeavours to ensure delivery on the date requested.
Time is not of the essence in relation to this contract.
3. Damage & Tracing Parcels
In the event that Your order is damaged in transit please contact Us within 24 hours of receipt. If the exterior packaging or the products are found to be damaged You must then sign “checked and found to be damaged”. If the products inside the package are damaged please email us photographic evidence of the damaged items. We will replace any items that are damaged in transit as quickly as possible and if this timing does not meet your requirements we will issue a refund.
If products are not delivered please contact Us for details of the tracking and tracing procedure.
If orders are considered by Us to be lost in transit after a reasonable period time has elapsed we shall at Our discretion either refund or resend the order.
Should You fail to collect a parcel or re arrange delivery of your parcel after a failed delivery attempt and the parcel is returned to Us by the courier then You will incur a further postage charge for Us to re send the parcel back to you.
4. Non UK Mainland Orders
Our website delivery price is for mainland UK delivery only. We are happy to ship to other destinations but this will be subject to an additional postage fee which will be given on request and this additional postage must be paid prior to dispatch. Orders to Non Mainland UK destinations may also take longer than our stated delivery time which relate to Mainland UK destinations only.

All prices quoted are in £ Sterling and are inclusive of VAT where applicable.
We endeavour to ensure that the information shown on the web site is as accurate as possible however we cannot guarantee that information and offer no warranties as to the accuracy.
We cannot be held responsible for typographical errors on this site, including but not limited to those regarding price. We reserve the right to make changes to Our web site including prices, products, ingredients and terms & conditions without any notice being given.
All products and services are subject to availability and may be withdrawn from sale at any time. If for any reason goods ordered are not available You may be offered an alternative. This alternative will be offered by telephone or email. We will never ship an alternative product without obtaining authorisation beforehand.
Bulk discounts may be applied at the discretion of Katie Bakes.
Wholesale/trade discounts are available for genuine wholesale/trade customers. Details should be submitted by email for consideration by Katie Bakes.
If for any reason you cancel your order you will be liable for any fees incurred, for example Paypal fees. We are afraid that party bag orders cannot be cancelled due to bespoke label printing.
8. Returns Policy
If for any reason You are not entirely satisfied with any product that You have purchased from Us, because you feel they are either damaged or faulty, You can contact us within 7 days of the date to dispatch to request a replacement or refund. Replacements or refunds will be subject to photographic evidence of the damage/faults or the items being returned to us their original packaging. We will refund the purchase price of the damaged items including the cost of postage or alternatively we will send replacement items.
Unfortunately we are unable to offer returns or refund on food items or personalised items that are just unsuitable or unwanted.
The title for goods supplied remains with Us until full payment has been received.
10. Privacy Pledge
We take Your privacy very seriously and are committed to providing users with an experience that respects Your privacy.
When You make a purchase we need to collect certain information to process Your transaction and fulfil Your order, You can be confident We will not disclose Your details to anybody unless required by law to do so. All personal information provided to Katie Bakes will be handled in accordance with the UK Data Protection Act and will remain strictly confidential.
When you place any order with Katie Bakes your email address will be added to our mailing list, however you will be given the option whether to subscribe or not. If you do subscribe you will receive future news and promotions relating to Katie Bakes but We will not pass Your details on to any Third Party. You can unsubscribe from Our mailing list at any time by following the link on the newsletter or emailing us.
We do not hold your records of your credit/debit card details once payment has been processed and so if You make changes to any order we will need to take your card details again.
Our web site links to other sites. Please be aware that We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these other sites.
