Serving Suggestion: Katie Bakes Granola with yogurt and berries.Ingredients: 450g rolled oats 50g sesame seeds or linseeds 50g sunflower seeds 50g pumpkin seeds 125ml sunflower oil 100ml runny honey To Make: Preheat the oven to 190oC/170oC Fan/Gas 5. Put all the dry ingredients into a large mixing bowl and add the sunflower oil and honey. Mix well until all the ingredients are coated with the honey and oil. Spread the mixture in a thin layer on a couple of large baking sheets and bake in the oven for 20-25 minutes, stirring periodically. Remove from the oven when just starting to go golden. DON’T OVERBAKE. Leave the Granola to cool and transfer to a storage jar. Best served with natural yoghurt and berries. Will keep for upto a month in an airtight container. TOP TIP: Heat the honey slightly (about 30 seconds in a microwave) to make it even more runny and then it mixes in more easily. OPTIONAL EXTRAS: Add nuts or any other seeds you fancy, flaked almonds work well. You can also try adding dried fruit to the cool granola once baked, dried cranberries or raisins are good.
