Our Spotty Dotty Cookie Mix in a Kilner Jar makes a lovely and fun diy baking gift for anyone who loves a sweet treat.  This simple baking mix jar is particlularly popular as a gift for Children, as they cannot resist the Smarties® on the top.

The baking mix is totally foolproof, so it is perfect to simply and easily create a batch of delicious biscuits, whatever your culinary skills, with minimal fuss and mess.  You just need to pour into a mixing bowl and add melted butter and an egg.

The beautiful presentation of the baking mix with it’s hand layered ingredients make it especially popular as a baking gift for lots of occasions.  We also offer the option for the jar to be gift wrapped in a kraft box, lined with shredded kraft paper and tied with ribbon.  You can also add a gift tag.  Perfect for sending directly as a gift to the recipient.

To Make:

Just add: 1 egg & 75g butter

Instructions: 

1. Tip the Smarties® out and set aside.
2. Pour the remainder of the contents into a mixing bowl.
3. Add 1 egg and 85g melted butter.  Mix together by hand until blended.
4. Take a dessert spoon of mixture, roll into a ball and flatten slightly.  Put on to a baking sheet and repeat with the remaining mixture.
5. Bake at 180oC/fan 160oC/gas 4 for 12-15 mins  or until just firm on top (they will harden as they cool).
6. Remove from oven and press the Smarties® onto the top of each cookie. Gently transfer to a cooling rack. If in a hurry don’t worry about separating the Smarties, just mix everything and bake.

Store in an airtight container for 3 days or freeze for 1 month.

Ingredients: Wheat flour (wheat, raising agents – Mono Calcium Phosphate and Sodium Carbonate. Calcium, Niacin, Iron, Thiamin), Brown Sugar (sugar and cane molasses), Smarties® (Sugar, Cocoa Butter, Skimmed Milk Powder, Cocoa Mass, Wheat Flour, Lactose and Proteins from Whey (from Milk), Butterfat (from Milk), Rice Starch, Emulsifier (Sunflower Lecithin), Fruit and Vegetable Concentrates (Safflower, Radish, Black Carrot, Lemon, Hibiscus), Spirulina Concentrate, Orange Oil, Glazing Agents (Carnauba Wax, Beeswax White), Natural Vanilla Flavouring, Invert Sugar Syrup), cocoa powder.

Note: This mix does not contain nuts but is produced in an environment which handles nuts.
